Title: Utrecht Data School: Investigating & Shaping the Digital Society
Abstract:The Utrecht Data School is a teaching and research platform. Developing distinct methods for societally engaged research, the UDS researchers investigate how algorithmization and datafication affect citizenship and democracy. Since March 2022, the Utrecht Data School is placed under the joint deanship of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Science. Mirko has recently joined the Department of Information and Computing Sciences to develop UDS further into an inter-faculty platform for the socially engaged and interdisciplinary study of the digital society. In this presentation, Mirko introduces the Utrecht Data School and their various research activities.
