Title: Web Development in 2020 and Beyond
Abstract:In this talk, I am going to give an overview of the current technologies available to develop applications for the web. I will discuss TypeScript, one of the most popular web programming languages next to JavaScript, frontend frameworks such as React and Angular, backend frameworks such as NodeJS and GraphQL, and the Kubernetes cloud infrastructure management system. I will share what I’ve learned after launching several web applications that rely on these systems, and making various mistakes while doing so. To conclude, I’ll talk about where I think web development is headed and my expectation that the way we currently develop web applications is going to radically change, and much sooner than we think.
